What I learned traveling with refugees
In 2015, Elie Gardner travelled and documented Ziad Al-Taha, a Syrian refugee, during his journey from Chios, Greece, to Oslo, Norway. Witnessing Ziad and other refugees leave everything behind and endure hardship in the hope of better lives profoundly changed Elie’s way of seeing life. It led her to create a more meaningful personal and professional life for herself.
